You never know where you will find Mr. Hat. You may find him hiking down the Grand Canyon; going up in the St. Louis Arch; on the streets of Budapest searching for Unicum; or in your backyard just playing in the leaves.

A brief history. Mr. Hat started going on adventures in 1997. He took a cross-country trip along with two compatriots, driving from New York to California and back again. While there was plenty of dip on the trip, Mr. Hat has been accused of not carrying his own weight. Regarding having to be carried up on the trip to the Grand Canyon, Mr. Hat says that he couldn't help it if he got a cramp in his leg. And he wasn't about to sit on one of those mules or burros, or whatever those four legged creatures are called, up those narrow trails.

He has gone on many adventures, hitting over 25 states (but who's counting), going to three continents, seeing some of the great wonders of the world, and just generally hanging out. He likes hanging out in coffee houses, even though he doesn't drink coffee. He won't pass up a cup of hot chocolate though (or a donut). He enjoyed playing around Niagara Falls, in spite of  the unmentionable border incident.

He oversaw the particulars of a wedding ceremony of one of his traveling compatriots.  All in all, Mr. Hat has had some excellent adventures, and hopes to have a few more. One of the things he would like to experience is the Northern Lights. There is also some Thai basket thing that he keeps talking about.

One of the joys of Mr. Hat's travels is the people that he has met in passing, and the new places he has experienced. Even though he has slowed down a little lately, he still appreciates all that he has done, and looks forward to at least a few new adventures. As a last note, while Mr. Hat is not very political, even he is dismayed at what is going on. So it goes.
